C. Huffman, Esq., is an associate in Garan Lucow
Miller, P.C.’s Traverse City Office. His areas of practice include general civil
litigation, criminal defense, insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes,
construction litigation, no-fault automobile insurance litigation, premises
liability, recreational activity liability, real estate litigation, contract
disputes, and civil appeals.
Mr. Huffman attended the Michigan State University College of Law, where he served as an editor for the institution’s journal of international law. He graduated in 2003 with magna cum laude distinction. Before joining Garan Lucow Miller he served as a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals, and then as a law clerk to former Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Clifford W. Taylor.
Mr. Huffman is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim County Bar Association. In addition to the Michigan state courts, he is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Along with Peter B. Worden, Jr., Mr. Huffman is the co-author of Northern Michigan Recreational Accidents: An Overview of Civil Liability, which offers an extensive overview of statutory and other laws pertaining to such outdoor recreational activities as boating, skiing, hunting, fishing, golf, bicycling, snowmobiling, and the operation of off road vehicles.
