John W. Sharp
1953-2008

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we report the passing of our Partner and dear friend, John Sharp. Mr. Sharp, a partner in our Traverse City office, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the age of 55, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He leaves behind his lovely wife, Carrie, son John Jr., and daughter Audrey.

John was that rare breed of person who possessed keen intelligence, never-ending dignity, and well-grounded humility. He never spoke ill of people, approached his job with enthusiasm and respect, and valued the relationships he formed with both friends and family. He was highly regarded by judges, attorneys and clients as a respectful, thoughtful, dignified, and polite attorney. The people who were fortunate enough to work with him, and/or to know him, understand that he cannot be replaced, and will not be forgotten.
