Thomas P. Christy practices law in Garan Lucow Miller's Oakland County office and is a member of both the Business Law Group and the Real Estate and Title Insurance Group. He has conducted more than 20 trials.
Mr. Christy has extensive experience representing businesses in a wide variety of litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, shareholder/partner disputes, fraud cases, collections/bankruptcy, and trade secret cases. He also provides transactional services to businesses, including business formation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, contract drafting and review, exempt securities offerings, and trademark registration. Tom has represented businesses in a wide variety of fields, including health care, restaurants, real estate, trucking, computers, insurance, automotive manufacturing, political consulting, food manufacturing, retail, graphite manufacturing, financial services, non-profits and clothing.
In the real estate field, Tom has represented most of the major title insurance companies and several nationally known lenders as well as many private clients. His practice includes title litigation, boundary disputes, foreclosure disputes, construction lien litigation, construction disputes, seller fraud cases, and broker fee disputes. He frequently assists clients in buying and selling real estate.
Mr. Christy graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 and the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1996, where he was a member of the law review. He is admitted to practice in both Michigan and Ohio. He is a board member and past president of the Hellenic Bar Association of Michigan
